Registration for the ACE & UKACC Control 2026 conference is now open, and we are pleased to invite submissions through the Call for Abstracts.
The conference will take place from 23–25 June 2026 at the Frederick Douglass Centre, Newcastle University, bringing together the UK control community for three days of discussion, exchange, and engagement across academia, industry, and practice.
The programme is organised as a combined event:
Day 1 (23 June): ACE Forum, focused on community, policy, and industrial engagement
Days 2–3 (24–25 June): UKACC Conference, featuring technical presentations and posters
We invite submissions of extended abstracts (up to two pages) from all areas of control engineering, including theoretical, computational, experimental, applied, emerging, and interdisciplinary topics.
Extended abstracts will be used to select oral presentations and poster contributions, within a concise, abstract-led programme designed to maximise discussion, visibility, and cross-community engagement.
Submissions from early-career researchers and PhD students are particularly encouraged.
Authors of accepted extended abstracts will have opportunities for:
Oral presentation of complete or in-progress work in a single-track programme
Poster presentation and visibility for early-stage and applied work
Engagement with the UK control community, industry, and policymakers
Eligibility for the Best Poster Award
Subsequent publication of their work in other venues
Information on how to submit your paper can be found here.
Extended abstract submission deadline: 17 February 2026
Notification of outcomes: 22 March 2026
Poster upload deadline: 29 May 2026
Flexible registration options are available for the ACE Forum (Day 1), the UKACC Conference (Days 2–3), or the full three-day programme.
